Product Description

Aluminum Flexible Tubing Header

1050 aluminium alloy is an aluminium-based alloy in the "commercially pure" wrought family (1000 or 1xxx series). It is usually formed by extrusion or rolling. It is commonly used in the electrical and chemical industries due to high electrical conductivity, corrosion resistance, and workability.

1050 Aluminum Tubing Product

⚡ Key Properties

  • Higher thermal conductivity than other alloys (excellent for heat sinks).
  • Excellent corrosion resistance and workability.
  • High electrical conductivity.
  • Can be strengthened by cold working (not heat treatable).

🔧 Welding & Tempers

Welding: Recommended filler wire is 1100 for self-welding. Use 5356 for 5083/5086 or 7XXX series. Use 4043 for other alloys.

Common Temper: H14 - work hardened by rolling to half hard, not annealed after rolling.

🏗️ Applications

  • Chemical process plant equipment
  • Food industry containers
  • Architectural flashings & reflectors
  • Cable sheathing & vessels
  • Pyrotechnic powder
  • Pharmaceutical industries
  • Architecture and paneling
  • Heat sink manufacturing

Frequently Asked Questions

Q1: What are the main characteristics of 1050 aluminum? A: 1050 aluminum is known for its high purity (99.5%), excellent corrosion resistance, high electrical and thermal conductivity, and superb workability.
Q2: What is the most common temper for 1050 aluminum pipes? A: The most common temper is H14, which refers to the metal being work-hardened by rolling to a half-hard state.
Q3: Can 1050 aluminum be used for electrical applications? A: Yes, due to its high electrical conductivity, it is frequently used in the electrical industry for cable sheathing and other components.
Q4: Is 1050 aluminum suitable for chemical processing? A: Absolutely. Its excellent corrosion resistance makes it ideal for chemical process plant equipment and pharmaceutical containers.
Q5: Can 1050 aluminum be strengthened by heat treatment? A: No, 1050 is a non-heat-treatable alloy. It can only be strengthened through cold working processes.
Q6: What is the size range for these aluminum pipes? A: We offer outside diameters ranging from 2.5mm to 560mm and thicknesses from 0.2mm to 60mm.
