Operating Principles

The lift-type mixing proof valve is remotely operated by compressed air and remains normally closed during standby. It is engineered with two independent plugs, creating a leakage chamber exposed to the atmosphere under normal conditions. In the event of a seal failure, the medium enters this chamber and is discharged, preventing cross-contamination.

During operation, the leakage chamber closes, allowing fluid to flow from one pipeline to another. This design supports highly efficient Clean-In-Place (CIP) and Sterilization-In-Place (SIP) processes. The integrated cleaning system directly washes the upper and lower stems as well as the leakage chamber, significantly reducing cleaning time and ensuring superior hygiene for food and beverage processing.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the primary benefit of a mix-proof valve?

The primary benefit is the ability to process two different fluids through the same valve simultaneously without risk of cross-contamination, thanks to the double-seat design and atmospheric leakage chamber.

2. Which materials are used for the valve construction?

The parts in contact with the medium are made of high-grade AISI 316L stainless steel, while other parts are AISI 304, ensuring compliance with 3A and FDA sanitary standards.

3. Can these valves be used for aseptic processing?

Yes, by introducing steam into the CIP pipeline, the system creates a shield that isolates air, making the lift-type mixing proof valve suitable for aseptic processing.

4. What are the available connection types?

These valves support various connection types including butt-welded, tri-clamp, threaded, and flanged connections to suit different piping requirements.

5. What is the maximum working pressure?

The valve is designed to handle a maximum working pressure of 145 psi (10 bar), with an actuator operating air pressure between 5.5 bar and 7 bar.

6. Are the seals FDA compliant?

Yes, the seat materials such as EPDM and FPM (Viton) are fully compliant with FDA 177.2600 regulations for food and beverage contact.
