Designed for the collection, preservation, and transportation of human nasopharyngeal or oropharyngeal virus samples.
The system is mainly composed of a storage tube, preservation medium, and swabs. It maintains a stable osmotic pressure, providing a suitable transportation and storage environment for swab samples. It is ideal for routine nucleic acid extraction, genetic testing, and PCR testing.
Peel the pack and use the swab for sampling in the nose or throat.
Nasopharyngeal swab: Gently insert the swab head into the nasal condyle, stay briefly, and slowly screw out.
Oropharyngeal swab: Gently wipe the bilateral pharyngeal tonsils and posterior pharyngeal wall.
Insert the swab into the storage tube and immerse the head in the medium.
Break the shaft at the breakpoint, discard the tail, and tighten the cap.
Mark sample information on the label.
Deliver to the laboratory within 72 hours at 2ºC-8ºC.

What is the difference between inactivated and non-inactivated media?
Non-inactivated media require virus inactivation steps before nucleic acid extraction, while inactivated media contain free viral nucleic acids allowing for direct extraction and detection.
Can these tubes be used for virus cultivation?
No, this product is intended only for sample collection, storage, and transportation. It does not possess cultivation functions.
What should I do if the sampling medium appears turbid?
If the medium turns yellow or turbid, it indicates deterioration. You should discard the kit and re-sample using a new one.
