The basic principle of a vertical steam sterilizer for medical waste is to use high-temperature, high-pressure steam to kill pathogenic microorganisms in medical waste, thus eliminating its potential infectious hazards. This system is ideal for treating infectious and sharps waste.

Featuring a fully automatic PLC electrical control system, it includes both automatic processing and manual modes. The control system is equipped with a touchscreen display for real-time monitoring of all equipment modules and status. The sterilization process meets relevant WHO standards and rigorous high-temperature steam sterilization requirements.

Medical waste is fed into the sterilizer, where the shredding system breaks it into small particles. A pre-vacuum method purges air before high-temperature, saturated steam is introduced. Post-treatment, a vacuum process clears remaining air, and sterilized waste—now reduced in volume and weight—can be treated as ordinary municipal waste.
